The second report on “Smoke Exhaust System Estimation Software” (I.V.Kalinina, lead consultant of CVM Manufacturing Works) not only aroused great interest, but also became a subject of heated discussion. This software has been developed based on the Fire Safety Research Institute guidelines “Estimation of building smoke-exhaust ventilation basic parameters” as well as the Code SP 7.13130 “Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning. Fire Safety Requirements”.

At the beginning of the 21st century CVM Manufacturing Works specialists developed smoke-exhaust system estimation software and handed it over to all interested parties for the free use. This software based on regulations applicable for that time has had considerable success on the whole territory of Russian Federation and former Soviet republics until now.
Introduction of new regulations motivated the CVM Manufacturing Works specialists to keep up with tradition and start development of new version of smoke-exhaust system estimation software complying with the up-to-date requirements.
